More folks should read this from the IFoA… but they won’t as it’s easier to engage with “net zero madness” style soundbites.

Party leaders perhaps need to rank their MPs based on 1) competence to govern and 2) having clear and consistent principles.
I genuinely don’t know whether this is going to be “a report about bad jobs” or a “jobs report which has negative connotations”.

The interesting thing about inheritance is how it just exacerbates inTRAgenerational inequity rather than doing much to fix an inTERgenerational issue…
SOME folks inheriting more than many earn in a lifetime… but most get nothing.
Not sure that’s how I read it.
Today’s youngsters have certainly been demographically shafted in certain ways (student loans, house prices) BUT that isn’t to say that nothing’s improved from 40 years ago (AIDS, the Cold War) or 80 years ago (WWII etc etc)…

The size of the USS surplus and the cost pressures in the Higher Education sector is quite the juxtaposition.
Don’t forget though that it’s basically just the “pre ‘92s” with USS exposure. “Post ‘92s” have TPS/STSS/LGPS.
