I don’t have anybody to talk to about the overlap between both these stories though so I’m just putting this out there for funsies

But I guess my conclusion is that despite their similar origins, their vastly different worlds make them have totally different motives in life.

Add to that that the number of monsters are greatly decreasing. (in the book version universe at least) There’s just no incentive to really make witchers anymore. And so despite so many kids dying during the trials, Geralt doesn’t need to stop the trials from continuing bc they’re already stopped

Really empower any other party.

The mages who ran the trials to make witchers were largely killed and so nobody even really knows how to do it anymore. Not to mention the fact that people in this world openly scorn witchers for being different and taking coin for killing monsters

Control and basically rule the world with. The entire system of crests and killing/disowning children without them is still rampant and shows no signs on stopping. So Edelgard’s mission is very much needed.

OTOH Geralt, and witchers, were made to kill monsters though, and witchers existing doesn’t

I’m playing the blood & wine dlc modded as Ciri and it kinda works story wise if Geralt is doing the main story stuff bc he knows those characters, and Ciri is doing some of the side story stuff

Like I had her do the Vivienne quest and it worked out really convincingly…also gave me things to draw…?
