His own rhetoric towards women, African Americans, Latino/as tells you all you need to know by what he means we he says patriotic. America is and always has been a country based on white male superiority and it’s not going to change as long as we have people like him running this country.
History doesn’t lie. The Trail of Tears, boarding schools, the 3/5th compromise, Black Codes, Jim Crow laws, Plessy v Ferguson…the list goes on.
If he wants honesty, he needs to admit that this country was founded on the belief that white men, particularly white male land owners (the wealthy) were superior.
From the order, “an accurate, honest, unifying, inspiring, and ennobling characterization of America’s founding and foundational principles.”
And the start of targeting higher ed. Yes, these are larger colleges and universities with large endowments but I don’t think any university that receives federal funding (hint: all of them through federal financial aid) is protected.
Remember the rich don’t want a cure for diseases because it’s bad for big pharma. They want us to stay sick so they profit.
