@pogofury
Small-time animator, hobbyist streamer (twitch.tv/PogoFury), lapsed cartoonist. Enjoys indie games (especially puzzles) and does demo roundups and a few rants. Designed one minigame in 2006 that isn't playable anymore, so I'm kind of a big deal.

any% now incorporates a physics skip that circumvents nearly all of the game ๐ฅ๐จ
(i do not expect to pull it off)
they should bring back Gofer Cakes

the clear solution is to consider the physical appearances of the Fire Chief & of Claire and to then design all four of Claire's grandparents, then consider various dominant and recessive genes to determine which to carry forward
i was about to ask whether it was wet or if they just printed it on 0.5lb paper
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)
Tell them you don't want to be told how to spend your money

Oeuf has released today, so we're gonna see how far I can get rolling an egg uphill in the rain (hopefully as least as far as I got in the demo)!

Don't forget that our huge Nintendo sale runs through until Friday 20th, with up to 80% off all titles on the platform, including perennial favourites Cosmic Express, Bonfire Peaks and Monster's Expedition!

Every motherfucker whose whole job is to increase the price of a stock is a hollow creature, a mere mask of capitalism. The only way to restrain their destructive and parasitic instincts is to make it absolutely clear to them that NUMBER WILL GO DOWN.
also bears considering that the people i don't want to interact with (who are greeting me etc.) already think i'm an asshole & don't want to interact with me either but are THEMSELVES already practicing this same principle
i guess the deal is that it was cut too wide, like instead of 5/8 inch it's like 11/16 or something, so it feels like it screws onto the mount normally, but sometimes during adjustment it just "jumps" a thread or two.
apparently people make 3D printed adapters for this specific problem
particularly therapeutic single-player game i loved is now unplayable unless i agree to a new eula the publisher put out a year after the game's final update.
i assume the update simply allows them to harvest & sell more personal data, so i'm debating just letting the game go & remembering fondly
blue yeti mic fell off the boom arm (thankfully i was holding it) & i was looking into a better-fitting boom when i learned that it's a known issue for yetis to have sloppy threading, so that's neato.
it's now back on the stock stand which blocks my view, because a new mic isn't in the budget
lol i looked at the steam forums for it and there's 3 pages of separate threads like "are you serious? who do you think you are fooling?"
Today we're knocking out some more of the subscriber sketch queue, and then playing Hades 1 with Crowd Control! [pomegranate emoji] [gun emoji] [orb made of butterflies emoji]

more like Clod ai [airhorns, confetti]
Well as it turns out, this weekend is my affiliate anniversary on Twitch. ๐
I'll be drawing some sketches from the subscriber queue and later playing some Stardew randomizer in an Archipelago multiworld.
There's also a vote on which SNES game I'll stream next!

Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM
As always, if any demos from the festival catch your eye, give them a try while you can, as it's not easy to tell which ones will get de-listed (some only run for the duration of Next Fest, and some take them down when the full game comes out).
10: Voidloop by @indiegamestudio.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/3803180/...
tbh it plays like speedrunning the Stardew Valley mines. You navigate 1 floor at a time, find a lever to unlock the exit, then reach the next floor & repeat until your brief time runs out, then upgrade & go again.
9: Titanium Court by @apthomson.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/2364580/...
Gameplay alternates between match 3 (resource collection & map manipulation) and auto-battler, with constant disarming humor in its writing & pop-up graphics
8: Sandloop by @yokugamesbcn.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/3783310/...
3D platformer with limited-time runs & unlockable metroidvania-style mobility upgrades. Rescue your missing neighbors & collect treasures along the way, making the most of your time limit
7: Rune Dice @runedicegame.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/3542380/...
Turn based combat where you have a tray of various numbered cubes (with physics), and if two matching numbers touch, they merge into the next higher digit & try to jump to another match in order to deal escalating damage.
6: Oeuf by @increpare.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/3831080/...
A 3D platformer where you control a rolling, jumping egg. The egg shape takes some practice, but it's not unfair or trolly as people might assume with climbing games. Bonus: the full game has multiplayer & a level editor.
5: Midnight Billiards by Hade Games
store.steampowered.com/app/3546480/...
Turn-based combat runs where your actions are dictated by the upgradable bumpers and pockets (and more) on your pool table. Collect items, build synergies, repeat.
4: The Magus Circle by By Witchlight:
store.steampowered.com/app/2796640/...
An arena survival game where you draw symbols on the battlefield with your mouse to cast your spells. Size, placement, and speed of the drawing can all affect the battle. Feels great on a drawing tablet.
3: Last Gas Station by @alawar.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/3690030/...
Gorgeous pixel art & cute character designs set this game apart from ubiquitous mechanically similar shop sim games. Mysterious disappearances, strange noises & ominous vibes when night falls, but it's probably fine.
2: Froggy Hates Snow by @thatsserge.bsky.social
store.steampowered.com/app/3232380/...
A top-down twist on incremental mining games. Venture out from your thermal tent, clear away snow, uncover treasure, fight off intermittent waves of enemies, and head home to get warm and upgrade.
1: Croak by @woodrunnergames.com
store.steampowered.com/app/2616540/...
Traditionally-animated side scrolling platformer where you grapple into walls to ricochet as a platforming mechanic. The stage pacing, limited grapple charges per jump, and easy death + fast respawn scratch the Celeste itch.
