I love the future-retro server room look in this game, considering it's all from the late 50s - the computer in pic #2 is closer to what we had to work with in the 70s 😀

Two-panel image of a cosplayer dressed as V from Cyberpunk 2077. In the first panel, she sits in a plastic chair next to a white cooler with two beers perched on top of it. The cosplayer wears a brown leather jacket and looks into the distance, her hands clasped. Her red hair is curled in tight ringlets that cover her forehead and extend down to her shoulders. A subtitle on the bottom reads, "Johnny: Y'know, should call anyone you want to say goodbye to." In the second panel, the cosplayer looks off to the left in closeup. She wears purple lipstick and glitter on her cheeks. A subtitle reads, "V: If I gotta die, rather fall into my grave gun in hand and on fire. And not drag anyone down with me."
Just for a moment, be something that fucking mattered.

I need to learn 3d sculptiiiiiiinnnnnnnng aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I want to make my characterssss 😩
TL;DR
do what you love because you love it, and find people who support you. Surround yourself and waste your time on things that are important, things that bring you creative fulfillment, and people who wish you well, without ulterior motives.
Instant life improvement hack, doctors hate me
And in the end, isn't that the actual point of the story?
Fame will never replace genuine connections. Sometimes, *people* are what's important - not power, not fame, not numbers.
Anyway, if you're reading this, I appreciate you
Shout out to my inner circle for being the best
Idek why I'm posting this but it's been a while since I actually shared any personal thoughts, and as time goes on, I am reminded that I am so so grateful about having genuine connections with people, who genuinely care about me, and for them to know that I genuinely care about them, too.
If your friends aren't friends outside of fandom, outside of the pixels, outside of everything... they're not friends.
Friends can't be bought. They can't be manipulated. They care about *you*, not your clout, not your "influence", and they don't sit there, scheming as to how you can be used.
and I still talk to my friends about our headcanons, I'm involved from the sidelines with friends working on mods and other cool projects.
but that's ultimately what mattered most to me. Spending time with genuine friends who care, OUTSIDE of Cyberpunk, or any other franchise.
I still grab screenshots here and there. Not in Cyberpunk - might come back at some point, but the game and its community completely burned me out on anything involving it. Doesn't mean Eden isn't kicking ass somewhere 😏 SilverV supremacy always, idc
they existed *before* I attached them to this particular IP; I've had ideas going back *years* before I started with cyberpunk, and while the themes and settings were a fun playground... I'd rather spend time developing my own projects! On *my* terms, with *my* ethos.
is just stupid. I don't want friendship that is *performative*. I don't want to be in a community that encourages that performativity.
4: I want to make my own stuff.
As I'm slowly getting into 3d modelling, I'm realising that while VP was an easy way to channel my creativity and OCs, -
3: Quality over quantity, friends over pixels.
Again. The *drama*. I lost people I considered good friends when shit went down, people were picking new sides every day, and it's just exhausting. A community that cares more about internet points and being in the "in" with whoever is cool that day -
Instead of focusing so much on mods and what everyone else is up to, it's been so freeing to sit down and not care about anyone else's opinions about a game, than my own (and my friends<3)
The whole "omg I gotta be on nexus" mindset some people had/have, is exhausting, and I don't want it for me
To me it just all ended up becoming too vapid and empty, and as someone who thrives in analysis and theories and PURPOSE, I found making content for the sake of content (and all that comes with it) just... sad. It gave me nothing.
2: I'd rather *play* the games I love, and live in the moment
As I'm sure most of you have noticed - I don't do a lot of VP anymore. There's a few reasons for that.
1: The CP77 community is. well. I'll vaguely gesture at recent events and everything else.🙃
A community that takes "style over substance" as gospel, rather than the societal critique it is... idk
