A look behind the curtains (or behind the canopy? π).
The collision geometry is completely rigid. To fake the look of physical response, the shader just has a single radial wave that is reinitiated for every impact detected.

I came across a great plugin for Blender that enables you to manipulate objects in Blender with VR controllers, and I wanted to see if I could use it to aid in creating animation reminiscent of hand-and-rod style puppetry.

Alright! Let's actually talk about this waterfall thing. It is an amazing showcase of many things that I adore from late 90s/early 2000s graphics.
I am replicating this in Blender through mere observation, so some things might not be fully accurate to the mind-boggling effects of the PS1.
