I will give that a pass I think. Saving myself for the Netherlands at the end of March. Such a delight to travel by rail there. Almost always a bus station at the rail station for onward travel.

East Suffolk railway line set for upgrade work Rail passengers planning to travel on the East Suffolk Line this spring are being urged to check their journeys in advance, ahead of vital engineering work taking place over several weekends in March.

I hope they fix Lowestoft to Saxmundham too. The priority seems to be Ipswich to Sizewell for good reason, there is plenty of jointed track north of there to clickety-clack and rock and roll on.

In 1964 when I was about 15, I travelled from Leicester to Stuttgart overnight on my own by train and ferry, for an exchange visit. While there, I visited a loco maintenance depot. I found 3 degrading slides yesterday. No hi-vis 😲
