Gates Scholarships Expand Eligibility To Include All Races After complaints were raised about its tax-exempt status, the Gates Foundation said it will no longer restrict eligibility for Gates Scholarships to minority students.

As a Gates Millennium Scholars Program / GMSP alum, I am deeply saddened by this news. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation built something that was brilliant, necessary, and live-changing for so many of us as low-income, high-achieving students of color.
