You have strong stylistic elements that lend themselves well to continuity, such as the hair and outfit. A rotation will help you to do this even better, ensuring that you have a definitive design.
But make sure that your proportions are correct. The arm seems a bit short. This pose will help you to come up with an effective front facing and profile version. Have a look at model sheets and rotations to see how this is used in animation studios.
We're not sure if these are meant to be variations of the same character design, or if you are attempting to draw the same character, but in different poses. If they are the latter, we would encourage you to first draw one in a three quarter pose. That's the pose on the left.
Awesome work you did! Keep it up ππ«Άπ€
You're welcome! Feel free to tag us when it's done ππ€
Weβve only spent a minute trying to do a suggested alteration using a track pad, but we thought this frame might benefit from greater curves in the cape and being able to see the trailing edge of the far side of the cape for a moment. Youβve already done a great job though, so we're nit picking.
This is a really good solution. Youβve approached the challenge well, by not trying to animate the run and the cape at the same time.
Nicely done though. Well executed shading and texturing of the hair.
To address this in the early stages of designing characters, we would encourage you in the first instance to draw the character in a three quarter pose as it allows you to better understand the dimensions of the character. It also helps with the creation of side and profile views.
For example, slightly different wisps of hair on one side. A different crease on one sleeve and a variation in the folds of the dress.
Heyy, quick feedback from us! A successful image, however apart from the hands, it appears to be mirrored. Such acute symmetry always makes me uncomfortable, so we would be tempted to add touches to one side to break this up.
You're very welcome! We're happy to help whenever possible π€π«Ά
You can really play with the relationship between the two characters. The smaller character could be the older immortal mentor. The older character may be serving a long long apprenticeship. The line weights on the sketches really add to the sense of form of the characters too. Awesomely done! π€
You're welcome! You keep up the amazing work π
The lighting is very well considered, especially the back light, which frames the creature very well. The wisps of smoke in the foreground are really well done and add to the sense of depth.
You've done a wonderful job of maintaining the perspective in the details on the head of the creature. No small feat.
βHehe, the trickster never sleeps; heβs just waiting for the perfect page.
An illustration of a magical bookshelf filled with coloured volumes. A robotic, floating hand (the Narrator) is placing a purple book with a βBβ on the cover (Bucky The Unicorn Bear and The Elves of Christmas Eve, Book I) onto the shelf. To the right, a long pink rat tail curls out from behind a blue book (Book II), pointing towards it. A coffee cup with an infinity symbol floats in the foreground. The text reads: βBucky The Unicorn Bear and his friends will return for more adventures, in the enchanting Land of Zzzβ¦β.
Book I is done, Book II is calling π
We hid a little detail in the final art of our Bucky The Unicorn Bear and The Elves of Christmas Eve picture book. As the Narrator shelves the Christmas adventure look at who is pointing to the sequel.
That pink tail looks familiar..

This makes Bucky so happy! Thank you, Sam!ππ«Ά

You are clearly confident when setting up your camera, so we would spare a little more time to consider what alternate angles, moves, or tracking speeds might be used in future projects. You might try tilts, some camera shake where appropriate. It's a toolbox, so have fun withΒ theΒ cameraΒ too.
Some really nice modelling and texturing. We particularly like the mixed media approach in the graveyard scene. Something to think about in the future are the camera angles and camera moves.
Hello again; it sounds great. The very best of luck with your web comic. Based upon what you've posted here, we're sure it's going to have some great characters. Keep it up!
Does the character have any other bat traits? Echo location? Well done! We can imagine this character in a bookΒ orΒ animation.
An anthropomorphic bat! We think you've done a really good job of balancing the bat and human features. There is also a warmth to the character which really helps. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the body develops in the same vein.
You're welcome, keep it up! π€
We would make the far arm a little shorter and we would have the near side and far side foot landing on slightly different planes. Apart from that, it works so well and is stylised so effectively that it already works.Β WellΒ done!!! π€π
This is really very effective and great fun so we're hesitant to offer a suggestion for making improvements. If we were to do anything, we would consider that the arm and leg that are further from the camera are in perspective so they could be foreshortened.
