Did you know that in D&D if you guess what face of the die an enemy’s attack roll will land on before it’s rolled, you parry the attack and avoid all of its effects in the game?

A thread of non-obvious things that either influenced BREAK!! and/or make for good BREAK!! inspiration in my opinion. I am going to add to this as I think of new ones (or maybe even find them)

My read is that the original game is explicitly about you existing in a virtual world which acknowledges the real world (which makes sense given how close in concept to SMT Pokemon originally was in development). That’s why you shrink into a field sprite at the start. I really liked that setup.
