Remote, but oh-so-beautiful!

Sunset was a gentle onslaught of layers this evening as the rays danced around the volcanoes of the southern Bolivian Andes/altiplano towards the Chilean border.

Last night, I spent a couple of wonderful hours with friend and fellow photographer, Paul Zizka, on the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, along with our kind, funny, and resourceful Bolivian guides. We laughed. Drank hot chocolate. Snapped some images. And just took it all in.

I love wide open spaces; I've always found beauty in the void, calm in the nothingness.
