Hm... not sure how I feel about this

#Chessable!
Not bad.
2235 elo on chess.com (peak)! I want to make it to 2300 within the next two months, as I have a lot of time before beginning uni at the end of February next year. I hope it's possible!
Now it's 'this month'!!
Ahhhh, the KID course by Danya (post humorously) is releasing 'very very soon' according to Bortnyk. I'm so excited~
I'm going to study it 24/7!

ChessBook 1600s
The draught of a Pawne is only one house at a time streight forward in his owne file never retiring; but he differs from all other pieces, in that it doth not take the adverse pieces as it goeth, but that which standeth aslope in the next house forward of the next file on either hand
Noo I mistakenly resigned in an ultra drawn position against a 2350 today. I was tilt as I was winning the entire time and then blundered into a draw. But I beat a 2370! And a week ago I beat a 2420.
I’m getting this parings because I changed my settings to allow for players of any (higher) rating
Except you’re wrong. Where do you want ‘having’ in the title? Manic friend *having* and blast and manic friend (is) a blast are very different. This is how headlines are written!
I'm glad that you're passionate about chess, but is it really responsible for a beginner/lower intermediate to sell instructional books on it? Generally it is expected that (for books other than fiction) the writer is experienced or an expert.
Regardless, good luck with your chess journey.
It's not really my area of study, but we were taught in uni that increasing housing supply doesn't necessarily lower prices (or help to an adequate degree).
Shrinking those you've beaten...?
Chess progression is weird; a lot of people are in a zone where they'll easily beat almost any random person they play, but still get obliterated by more serious club players. And that's true for everyone except the top few.
I still don’t like it! I want to play a good game. If i play badly but still win, I’m still generally unhappy (depending).
I disagree, chess is awesome when my opponent is stupid and sucks when I’m stupid
And then you have to check if the parody account is a real publication
Average chessable opening course... lol

I just found out that Bortnyk has all of the work Danya did on his Kings Indian course, and Bortnyk is likely to finish and publish it. This means so much. Danya worked on it for more than two years, and described it as his magnum opus. And I love the kings Indian.
Rg4+!!

There's nothing more amazing than studying 300+ lines in the French Defense and then being out of preparation on move 2. This 800 line course doesn't cover 2. nc3 - yes, 99% of lines will transpose into something I know, but there's not meant to be a nc3 kings indian attack against the French

Yeah lol. Even the theory aside I just like to play a solid game where I feel comfortable. Im proud when the dame seems logical start to finish, win or loss.
This just happened to me in that French game - I assumed I was still in theory and played something else, I wasn’t but fortunately it still worked haha
One thing I’m noticing after Chessable is that I’m like Chat GPT - I don’t recognise when there’s something I don’t know, I just assume I’ve seen it before and over-apply my knowledge. Y’know? If a position comes up that I’ve seen I’ll remember the answer, but if it’s new it can be hard to tell
To be honest, I’ve never really played. I feel it’s too chaotic for me, removes some of the elements I enjoy in normal chess in terms of how I feel I improve and recognise structures etc and play a solid game.
Exactly, I checked lichess’s database and even that was tiny for 960. Also recently I saw a GM blunder a queen in one move in the opening. It really messes with your pattern recognition because you’ll notice normal chess is so “perfect” - there’s always a way out, everything is always protected
I was mostly joking, but for top players it's totally possible to do very basic study for each position, or just starting with difficult positions! You may wonder if this is worth it, but Fabiano made quite a significant blunder on move 1 last year against Magnus in a CLASSICAL game!
People need to understand that Fischer random doesn't have less theory, it has 959 times more theory

Yep, I reached out to contact and also made a community post.
f4!? exf4, Bxc6!! bxc6, 0-0!! is so crazy with white winning down 2 pieces and 650 pawns. Taking with the queen is also bad due to Rf1 Qg5 Rd2!! apparently.
- Marshall gambit of the Triangle Slav
I cant get over how Chessable switches the order and colours of the buttons sometimes - next variation on the right in blue if you're reviewing a line, or in white on the left if you're learning a line for the first time. Messes me up so much #chess #chesspunks
- ah, and with very defined lines/systems rather than individual moves. Like in the KID white does have a lot of options but they largely feel systematic. Although it can get a bit much.
