i also love this!! i just hate being the one to do the folding!!! turns out when you hate doing something and also it’s a nonessential task, that something is what falls by the wayside when other stuff comes up 🙃

few things are quite so humbling as playing Find The Bad Smell in an otherwise visibly clean kitchen like,,, did a potato go bad? does the trash need to be taken out! did something get spilled in a weird unreachable crevice? the world may never know!
i have three full baskets of laundry,,, i’ve sorted them now, and two of them are just shirts!!! why do we have so many shirts and so few pants!!! how is the laundry so disproportionate!!!
ive been crazy busy with research stuff lately and the trade off that happened is that like nearly a months worth of laundry folding just sorta,,, Didn’t Happen.
anyway i submitted my project and am now folding a bunch of laundry and like,,, no wonder i can never find pants, this is like 80% shirts

also i feel like i specifically think about creation and safety together because most of what i create is research about trans populations, health, and structural inequity, and my personal safety is inextricably tied to all of those things, so your mileage may of course vary
one of the great joys in my research career is finding an author who has done bunch of work in trans populations, googling their name, seeing a photo of them, and going "ah, yes. this makes sense."
it makes me feel very seen
