At the kids’ book fair last night, they each got $20 from my parents to spend. My dad said “This would be a great time for them to practice bartering. Say I want these books for this much and see it how it goes.” Explained with all my patience why this would actually NOT be a great time for that.

Turns out it is kind of an effective means of judging a book, as a matter of fact.
