I wouldn't be upset if Ukraine refused to help us. I wish some of these other countries would take drastic measures. Cut us off completely, this country needs to suffer the consequences of it's elections.

I just had a cool experience. I was on my walk and stopped to talk to this guy who is always out on his porch and this time his dad was there. Somehow devolved into an argument when I told him there are just not illegals getting all the benefits. I did get through some though when I asked him (1/3)

We'll have been here a year this month and I just love it. I'm still in shock at the huge differences between the red state of MO and the blue state of IL.

Every tiny town out here has resources. This town has 300 people but also a storm shelter, a community center with a generator in case of power loss with washing machines and other necessities. There is a community dumpster for those items that don't fit in your can. I'm amazed!

Meth isn't as big a problem here. Even though I'm still in a rural area, I lived here about 2 months before I saw an obvious meth head. This is INCREDIBLE coming from MO where there's at least one in every gas station line.

Maybe the schools and after school programs are better?

The COUNTY I live in is putting together a program to help people with necessities like daycare, medications and things that there's no help for otherwise. Like fuel to get to work. That's incredible! I never lived in a MO county that did such a thing.

Also it's cleaner. In MO I took a walk with a full kitchen trash bag. In this little town I can't even fill a grocery bag. They make recycling easy! I had piles in my garage in MO because recycling was a chore and a decent drive.

In MO, my autistic son was ALWAYS on a waiting list for services. And when we got them I was so thankful, but in IL you just walk in and they offer you services MO never even thought of.

I've noticed a HUGE decrease in targeted ads since I left social media except this one and Reddit. Now I'm noticing if I visit a certain Reddit sub I'll get an ad relating to it on YouTube.
I'm going to start posting things here to see if it spawns YouTube ads. Please disregard weird posts.

My meds (all but one because I couldn't afford to pick it up) were $134 this month. They've gone UP since Trump took office. A rescue inhaler, thyroid medication since I don't have my own thyroid anymore, and a beta blocker to prevent SVT.

This is WITH insurance which I can't afford anymore.

I get so frustrated with MAGA touting the stock market as some kind of marker of success. I've seen lots of market manipulation. I've seen lots of highs and record drops just like my whole life. But I had to choose between my medicine and my electric bill this month. That's new.

When Trump ran in 2016 I thought, "Who could get excited about building a wall after watching the Berlin wall come down?" That campaign screamed a warning that I honestly thought people recognized.

Well here we are. I don't get why our memories are so short.

Trump isn't going to support anything that he didn't come up with. Let's start by getting rid of him.

I am happy with either candidate. I think it's wonderful when there can be more than one option that works. I don't think Crockett is done, she's going to be around a long time, this just wasn't her position. She'll find her place, I'm confident.
