Finally finished my first ten Breachers for my SoH. Got another 20 to do, but gonna get some other units done first. These Bring my painting pledge up to 11/100.

Yeah. Use to have them on individual bases, but the trios make it feel more like a horde, while streamlining the gameplay by reducing the number of units actually being moved/managed.

6'x3' zone Mortalis table with a 3d printed train at one end, and general market place terrain scattered along the main through way.

A lone Subjugator holds back the horde, allowing the other gangers to setup their defense.

My #Necromunda Campaign reached downtime this week. So time for a fun multiplayer game against an endless horde of feral Cannibals, as gangers raced to get on the last train out of the sector.

Hyped for the Cathay box, hoping that the new book (and articles, social pics/posts etc) will get me reinvigorated to paint my Cathay army.

I don't know what game this is, but importing the Space Marine 2 character models into it was genius.

Probably gonna just sell it to recoup some cost of the boxes.

Really liking the lore/vibe of the skitarii for HH. Although their rules leave little to be desired.

Hopefully we'll see the faction expanded with more kits in the future.

It's on the boardline of being too good.

Both it's weapons trigger statuses, and the main gun has phage(T) plus multiple fire modes. Put those on a comparatively tough chassis that can fly over stuff and it's really good.

Major reason for limiting to two is the detachment as you can only fit two

Box one built.
Gonna do the 2nd box as two eight man units, and do an alternative load out for the marshal.
Not sure what I'm gonna do with the second Vultarax, as I've already got a resin one and three feels a bit much in this edition given how good they are.

Horus Ascended is finished, painted to celebrate my SoH army reaching 10k points fully painted. Also mini 1/100 for my 1 million minis pledge. Really happy with how he came out, and definitely looking forward to eventually trying him out on the tabletop.

Still a long way to go with Horus, but he's coming along nicely. Mostly just the head, base, the various eye of Horus emblems, and details on the various severed heads to do now.

Not quite settled on which legion to paint the armour on the base as just yet either.

They've already brought it back for HH. Was in the first journal as a kitbash option (just stick the missiles from the tarantula onto a Scorpius as the joints the same) has rules as an anti-flyer platform.

Yeah I've noticed. Had fun trying to figure out the trim on the talon. Luckily having the bugger posable version to reference makes it a lot easier.

Dreading doing all the trim. Unfortunately I just don't have the patience for it, but it's definitely necessary on this mini.

Thanks, it's been a long journey to 10k (about 2yrs past the OG target of the end of '23) but got there in the end.

Onto the warmaster himself now. Then onto the rest of the backlog before any more new things get released.

My scheme is actually quite simple.

With the saturnine centurions finished, that brings my SoH 30k army up to over 10,200pts fully painted! So felt it was time for an updated group picture as the last one I did was back when it hit 6,000pts finished. Still got another 12k to do.

Thanks, admittedly it wasn't really planned. I've just got one scheme I've used for all the cloaks and loincloths across the army for consistency.

Plus I prefer bronze trim to gold, as it leaves gold for the fancier stuff while still keeping the general SoH look.

Last model finished for 2025. My first super heavy finished for my Son's of Horus army.

Fun kit to build compared to the old plastic/resin hybrid version. Also nice it comes with the other sponsons, and the kit let's you build two sets.

Yep, fundamental rule of Horus heresy rules writing is that Astartes are better at everything but also cheaper.

Definitely my version of Miao Ying, it's on my resolutions list for '26 to get my Cathay army up to a playable size (only fully painted minis counts)
