Oh yeah for sure you’re at the right moment! Lol yeah going to a week of daycare will be the test for us. So far she’s been basically ok, it’s just that we have to do an earlier bedtime before she starts melting 🫠

It’s a great way to get grad students involved and not too late to plan some lectures/events for #BAW2025!
I used to do outreach with local public libraries with @sbuneurobiology.bsky.social during brain awareness week. I prefer talking with kids but they have also done plenty of programs with all age groups! It’s super fun and relatively easy and gives back to your community.

Yay I’m so glad to hear that! My kitty didn’t end up having the procedure (she died before the surgery 😭 from like a tumor in or behind her eye they thought 😭 it was like 7 years ago but who’s counting), so I didn’t want to say anything til I knew Eddie was good to go!

It was reading The Emotional Brain that got me to apply to grad school. Then I was lucky enough to pursue my PhD in his lab…wow! So excited to celebrate him—festschrift time!!
