Little Babi, the big hit 90s czechimation show, was essentially going to be the magical girl show equivalent, though the twist is that shes an old babushka woman who transforms into a lively spirit to defeat baddies from central european folklore

various pieces of concept art for the story, the general plot being the old man being able to make golems attempting to fight against the totalitarian factorystate that has choked the earth

Golem Master is the big 70s/80s czechimation show and it was designed very much to be the sort of big Akira/Eva type hyper-auteur level project that people on the Czecher forums wouldnt be able to resist fighting in long pretentious paragraphs about, long after it ended and its creator passed away
