Good Lord, Trump seems to have forgotten that in war, your enemy gets a vote. If the Iranians read this, they will understand he is terrified and desperate, and probably speed up the mining of the straits. Worst war leader in US history.

The President of the USA is now openly threatening Iran with being the target of one of the greatest crimes in world history. Trump is saying he will destroy the basis of life for more than 90 million people.
He should be removed from office for this.
Itβs fine for Russia to use drones to freeze out your population β by the way, can you give us your drone defenses? This is the actual US position.
Interesting paper. When science is cheap, multiverse analysis becomes the key abstraction for authors & journals to strategize for.
These results suggest its the new unit of evidence authoring & review should accommodate.

NBCβs Richard Engel: βThe White House meme campaign is outraging many former US military commandersβ¦ they say only someone who has never really seen combat would think itβs a joke and put out material like this.β
The USA should be glad that Zelensky doesn't hold a grudge for all the insults Trump and Vance have thrown at him.
Just another normal morning where the President of the United States shares completely false claims from a conspiracy theory site. Iβve confirmed with election officials in Maricopa County that this is 100% BS.
The best rationale so far of the US strategy on Iran is the idea it was done to support Russia without being obvious about it.
It isn't as though other US statements or actions don't reinforce this idea.
When you explain to me how a data centre can be cooled while, in effect, inside a thermos flask with no external components, I'll take the idea of space-based data centres seriously.
Lindseyβs diplomacy working wonders in UAE.
Banks will be rolling in his grave at this thought. Given the core messages in the social commentary his fiction also contains.
Sadly, when naive observers see the mess they usually identify the wrong problem: they claim the chaos is caused by understaffing. The reality is that the problem is bad process design and poor management.
The solution is not to push for savings, it is to recognise that the NHS needs to pay far more attention to how its processes and pathways are designed so it can achieve more useful work and better quality work...
This isn't because the front line staff are useless: it is because they work in a badly organised and often chaotic system...
If we analyse the activity of doctors and nurses properly from the patient point of view, it is likely that the majority of the time spent is wasted: www.hsj.co.uk/daily-insigh...

When I say the word "film" it has two syllables.
Eliminating long waits is the way to eliminate corridor care. Defining a better definition of "corridor care" will add nothing to the 12hr wait metric we already have.
What the actual fuck are NHS strategists thinking?
This is blatantly contradictory. Where do you think the people (more than 1.7m in each of the last 4 years) waiting for 12hr in A&Es are waiting? ...
The national NHS UEC leader has decided to try to eliminate "corridor care". And is spending time developing a new definition of it to support the campaign.
But current strategy explicitly prioritises improving 4hr waits and ignores improvement in 12hr waits...
So Trump rolls out the red carpet for Putin, protects Putin, bullies the Ukrainians for Putin, and in return Putin helps Iranians kill Americans.
Trump must act now or the case for him being a Russian asset of some type will be undeniable.
I do fear that grotesque boast that the USA no longer needed to worry about "stupid rules of engagement", will haunt the country for years to come.

Just sent out a free piece to expand on my article in @theatlantic.com yesterday. The signs of rot in US military and diplomatic capabilities are real and even more extensive than I could say in that article. Here are more-and a gift link to the original article. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

Quietly, calmly and forensically, BBC just dismantled the Trump communications shitshow on Iran.
No hyperbole, just laying out an unprecedented military, diplomatic and reputational shambles.
Worth a watch.

Normally the fog of war is a feature of battlefields clouded by smoke and uncertainty about where the enemy is. But in the USA's war on Iran, the fog is inside Donald Trump's head.
