Creativity is a part of the five dimensions that support child development and is explored in Section 3 of Realising the Ambition: Being Me (RtA).
'Creativity is vital for all learning.' (RtA, Pg24)
Thank you for sharing. #BeingMe
This week has been full of; Firefighters and safety, Sea creatures and researching. Creating our own versions of Van Gough's Starry night using a range of techniques. Learning all about the emotions of 'LOVE'. And practicing number counting through songs and rhyme!

Some of our children have been busy designers!โ๏ธ๐งต From the first sketch to final detail, their focus, creativity and pride in their work is evident.
So much patience, resilience and imagination in one experience.

I am so impressed and proud of our creative children. Our practitioners give them the opportunity to be inquisitive through experiences that challenge and provoke their thinking. Most of all we have fun learning together, I also tried out the human Spirograph ๐ it was great fun #LearningIsFun
Our children have been creating their interpretations of Van Goghโs โStarry Nightโ. Children were intrigued by the swirls and have gone on to research the word swirl. They have been exploring different ways to make swirls ๐ฅ from a human Spirograph, wax, sand and a variety of techniques #YoungArtists
I love seeing these happy smiling faces, it had been fantastic to have everyone back filling the nursery with love laughter and fun ๐ฅฐ #Friendships

In the quiet room learners have continued their interest in flags. As well as making their own interpretations of their favourite flag, educators provided flag puzzles to complete. Lots of problem solving, perseverence, matching and sorting.
Outdoors this week our learners have been exploring the forces push and pull. Describing how each different force feels using mathematical language. Our learners have also noticed the change in weather and have been predicting how ice is made. โ๏ธ๐ฅถ
At the block side learners have continued their interest in forces. Using blankets learners noticed their hair standing up. Educators provided balloons for learners to rub on their hair. We then experimented with tissue paper to see how many we could lift up with the balloon.
In the music room learners have been exploring the nursery rhyme 5 little monkeys, singing songs, role play and mark making their own monkeys ๐๐ต๐ค
In the Quiet Room we have began exploring flags of the world. Learners have been identifying different colours, shapes and patterns that make each flag special. They have been drawing their own interpretations of their favourite flag. ๐ฎ๐ณ ๐ซ๐ท ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
Thank you for joining us at our Scottish themed Bookbug. We enjoyed a Hairy Maclary story and sang some Scottish songs. ๐ถ ๐
These photos are awesome. Such engagement in foubdational mathematics and showcasing early mathematical thinking. Fab. ๐ ๐๐๐@fcsthomson.bsky.social
The learners in the music room have continued to explore the song 1,2,3,4,5 through making their own fish to act out the song as well as exploring their left and right ๐๐ ๐ฃ
Thank you for joining us at our water/rain themed bookbug today. We enjoyed the story Tip Tap Crab and heard some lovely singing. ๐ฆ โ๏ธ
In the big room block side the learners have been exploring forces through using magnets and predicting what might happen. The educators provided materials and the learners have been using their problem solving and curiosity skills to decide what was magnetic and what wasnโt. ๐งฒ๐ #forces
In the big room children have been developing their interest in patterns and sequencing. Children have also been using different resources to create their own space ships and participating in discussions about space.๐ชโ๏ธ๐ญ๐ธ
As learners continue to explore Room on the Broom, they wanted to make the witches spell. Educators provided ingredients for learners to choose from. We made lots of colourful, smelly, fizzing potions with learners recalling the magic words โiggety, ziggety, zaggety, ZOOM ๐ช
Learners continue to explore stories in the quiet room. We have been enjoying experiences focussing on Room on the Broom. Learners have been using props to act out the story and even made their own broom ๐งน ๐๐งโโ๏ธ
Thank you to everyone who came today to join in with our Bookbug session all about being kind to ourselves and each other. ๐๐โบ๏ธ
In the Big Playroom children have been developing their interest in patterns and sequencing. Using various resources, children are predicting what will come next in a range of two and three colour pattern sequences with some beginning to create their own.
