Experts offer fraud prevention tips as Toronto police struggle with overwhelming case load | CBC News Toronto police investigators received just under 17,000 fraud reports in 2024, amounting to $368.6 million in damages. That’s roughly 3,000 more than the number of fraud reports filed in 2023.
