Well done on the mountain hare, they are always good to see. Green hairstreak are dull brown above but always settle with the wings closed showing the bright green underside. A characteristic butterfly of high moorland, where the larval food plant is bilberry. On the wing May & early June.

Happy New Year Phil. Itβs a WA MiniBat. We have 3 of your pippygs but as itβs a long term study - this is the 6th winter of monitoring - I wanted to keep the equipment consistent. Iβm sure yours would work just as well, at a tiny fraction of the cost!
