When looking at how many support staff you need, what is the starting point? Do you take your SEN notional and top funding and work backwards or is there another way to calculate staffing when there is no EYFS ratio requirement?

Has anyone used the new DfE benchmarking tool? I don’t know why they are using one set of schools to compare running costs incl staffing and another for building costs, how is that a true comparison? It might be me but any thoughts welcome. #sbm sbl# #education
