Thank you!
Thank you!
Suez, Vietnam, the Falklands, Grenada: the "special relationship" survived them all. But maybe you have to have a smattering of history to write its first draft www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/lab...
Rather than concentrate on the wildfire war he's just started, Trump is spending his time on the phone with British journalists slagging off Keir Starmer. Their dictation skills turn out to be excellent www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/lab...
Churchill would have been appalled by a figure like Trump. But some journalists have convinced themselves that Starmer is to blame for this hiccup in the โspecial relationshipโ app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/72649/...
Press regulator IPSO to the Daily Telegraph: โTell us how you came to publish an apparently fictional story.โ
Telegraph; โNo, itโs confidential!โ
IPSO: โOh, ok. Sorry to bother youโ.

Agree. The article acknowledges that
The wailing, gnashing of teeth and sheer catastrophising over the Greensโ by election victory! Maybe it had something to do with their policies, most (not all) of which resonate with many people. And a rather good candidate. app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/72550/...
Perhaps we could stop calling the voters stupid and Polanski barking mad. His dentistry may not be immaculate. But heโs shown that he has quite a bite. www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/gre...

Cycled past Lord Mandelsonโs house just now. Heartened to see so many well-wishers outside
If any other organisation continued to treat gay people as second-class citizens, they'd be held up to public ridicule and odium, if not legal action. How does the Church of England still get away with it? www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/religi...
Trumpโs suit against the BBC should be seen for what it is: an attempt to rewrite history. Itโs also a bid to fill his own pockets, discredit the work of professional journalists and chill news organisations, writes Alan Rusbridger
Former @washingtonpost editor Marty Baron tells it like it is about his former boss Jeff Bezos.
Trump v the BBC: it's not hard (except for Liz Truss) to know which side to take. But there are bigger obstacles to overcome to secure the future of the BBC, and time is short. www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/media/...
Donald Trump v the BBC: it should be easy to know side youโre on. We should rally to the cause of public service broadcasting before itโs too late app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/72423/...
It was obvious Matthew Doyle didnโt belong in the House of Lords. As I wrote just over a month ago app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/72007/...

The question to ask now is WWND? (What would Nigel do?) If he gets into power why wouldnโt he flood the Lords with Reform peers?
A must read. Should come with alarm bells
Epstein has, from beyond the grave, exposed the make-it-up-as-you-go-along nature of the monarchy and the House of Lords www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/con...
well, he would sever any relation with it and wash his hands of anything it did in future..
Bezos could retrieve something from the disaster of his ownership of the @washingtonpost.com by emulating the Scott family in 1932. Give the paper away and endow it with, say, $1.5 bn. And have an independent trust run it in the public interest.
I helped bring Mandelson down (twice). He was hiding in plain sight. www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/710...

Matt Goodwin must be hoping no one in Gorton and Denton reads his Substack, with its obsession about too many Muslims and civilisational collapse. If only he hadn't picked a constituency which is 30% Muslim. www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/pop...
Matt Goodwin seems rather obsessed with "too many" Muslims and what he calls the "New Elite." Unlikely to play well in Gorton and Denton (30% Muslim in 2021 census). But if I'm wrong, dinner's on me, Matt www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/pop...
