The OSRS Pride 🌈 Zine is out!
I am so proud of this community 🫂 for pulling together in response to Jagex & Mod Norths COWARDLY decision to remove the Pride event this year.
Incredible output from so many talented people & I am charmed to see I know so many of you.

I kicked this project off and wrote a fic! A White Knight, a Mage of Zamorak and a Leprechaun sit down together for a cuppa tea...
ayyyy guess who made the cover art! Here I showcased the wide variety of players that I saw during my time at the priot in June and July, @renderscape.bsky.social's fashionscape contest, and the pride march.
Also now that it's November, happy Trans Awareness Month! ✨️🏳️⚧️
The zine is finally out!!! I wrote a piece for it titled ‘the priot’, if you wanna read that, along with everyone else’s beautiful art, and thoughtful words.

So, it's July 1st & Pride 🌈 Month 🗓️ is over.
Jagex's Mod North refused to release the 2025 Pride 🌈 event into OSRS.
We, however, are not defeated.
Here's a thread 🧵 of how we are only stronger & will be bringing Pride forward with us all year round like a queer Scrooge.

I'm working on an idea for the OSRS Zine Project @osrszine.bsky.social and I'm looking to ask a few members of the LGBTQ+ community to tell me their stories.

What does Pride in OSRS mean to you? Runescape was one of the very first communities where I began to discover myself as a kid, through adventures in a new world, fantastic stories that showed me I could be and do anything, and amazing friends and fellow adventurers I've met along the way. I take pride in calling Gielinor a forever home-away-from-home, just as I take pride in the person I've grown into after traveling through this world over so many years. This community shaped my queer journey in more ways than I can count, and I know I'm not alone in that experience. It's something we should all get to celebrate together as a community. Pride in OSRS shows that Jagex takes pride in us too. It's very disappointing that there's no Pride event in OSRS this year. This video is a lovely way to revisit last year's event, and shows why many people were excited to see the story of the Glade being developed this year and in the future
Unsurprising, but truly disappointing.
No Pride 🌈 event in today's OSRS update, the last of the month, despite the longest in-game protest OSRS has ever seen.
Like a self-fulfilling prophecy Mod North made Pride 🌈 in OSRS "controversial in a way it didn’t used to be".
We won't forget.
