We showed that snow melt timing advances up to two weeks earlier in burn forests, but this can vary regionally. California and Oregon are the most vulnerable to snowpack loss and will experience the largest additionally loss under 2°C warming.

Impact of current and warmer climate conditions on snow cover loss in burned forests Wildfires are causing earlier snowmelt across the western US, and this effect would be exacerbated with projected warmer winters.
