I was an able bodied person. And in the blink of an eye, I suffered a partial paralysis and now I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user.

My mind is still boggled. 17% of women are allergic to nickel. Almost 1/5. But only 3% of men. And stents for veins in the US are either 50% nickel, or 15%. We MUST have options for people with allergies! Europe does! Why doesn’t the U.S.??

Deaf 6-year-old boy is deported to Colombia without his medical devices, attorney says A Hayward woman and her two young children were detained and deported to Colombia after they showed up earlier this week for an asylum appointment in San Francisco, her attorney said.

ICE deported a 6 year old deaf child with severe disabilities to Columbia.

Before deporting him, they dragged him from camp to camp without providing his assistive hearing devices or a translator.

This innocent child had no way to communicate or understand what was being done to him:

Well. Surgery for tomorrow got canceled because they don’t know what to do about my nickel allergy. Even though I informed them of that in Oct 2025. And we scheduled this procedure in Nov 2025. And I’ve been waiting 4mo. #MayThurnerSyndrome #EDS
