Did not notice that until just now. Welp that immediately went on the wishlist!

If I had to pick a PS1 Mount Rushmore of fan translations I'd like to see at this point (now that Racing Lagoon, Moon, Rhapsody II and Linda Cube Again all have em), it'd probably be as follows:
Not Treasure Hunter
Oh No!
70's Robot Anime Geppy-X
Hokuto no Ken; Seiki Matsukyu Seishi Densetsu
Stream is unlikely next week, but the week after will be the conclusion of Scenario A in Linda Cube Again. Not sure if I'll jump into Scenario B right away or play a different game so the insanity feels a little more fresh.
If you want fun PS1 fan translations then yes Linda Cube Again is a must-play, but Dr. Slump exceeding my expectations big time, very worth the playthrough.
I've only played 10% of Linda Cube Again so far probably but man this just keeps delivering and delivering. I just keep hoping I don't inadvertently softlock myself and miss something major, but so far so great.
Been a rough week or two but gonna try and do some more Linda Cube tomorrow. I will get this playthrough done even if it burns me out.
ah ok, I pulled the patch from rhdn rather than github so that would explain it.
@cargodin.bsky.social Found a minor error in Linda Cube Again not sure where else to note. When going into Flora's Lab at Hospico, when asked about favorite fruits the game freezes. Tried multiple times and kept happening. Using duckstation. Great game otherwise not sure why that's happening.
Only two hours into Linda Cube Again so far and it's 100% living up to the hype, this game is incredible.
So what's the best game you played this weekend?
Normal people: the new Metroid, Mario Kart, Baldur's Gate 3, or maybe one of the remakes like Oblivion.
Me: So have you heard of Number Crash?
#kusogrande
Gonna push Linda Cube Again back, most of my February is in flux and if I'm gonna play it I want to be able to do it in a few streams in a row rather than piecemeal over a couple months. But that's ok, I've heard this Stardew Valley game is halfway decent maybe I'll try that out :P

April 2017: I tried out a PS1 JRPG called Linda Cube Again. Despite being unable to read it I loved it and guaranteed a full playthrough if it ever got translated.
February 2026: Nearly nine years later, that promise will be fulfilled. February 7, The Cube occurs Again, but in English.
Short Tail Concerto review:
+ Great animation + voices
+ good enough graphics for the time
+ a bit on the short side but told what it needed to with a good story
- floaty controls and poor camera
- liked the combat but HATED the platforming with a passion
Overall good, but def could've been better.
that feeling when you try a speedrun of Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers in a race despite only completing the game once and ragequitting like 10 times... then you get a massive PB and win somehow. Maybe i should just make all my speedruns in race format.
@caddicarus.bsky.social At the risk of making you wonder why people make themselves suffer, I've learned this weekend that someone made the Pogo game from Crash Bash in Doom. youtu.be/o4QlCFWMsoo?... I mean it's impressive but.... why?
It's early, but Tail Concerto so far seems to *almost* be a hidden gem. If the controls and camera weren't fighting each other half the time especially in boss battles I might go ahead and say it is, because almost everything surrounding the gameplay is great.
Is there a Japan-only retro game that you'd love to see an English fan-translation for? I now have a suggestion form where you can submit requests: docs.google.com/forms/d/10JJ...
One last Magfest 26 memory for now. May have never heard of him until Saturday, but I'm a Bob Shaw guy. if you know you know.
I remember that cosplay actually, i was blown away by it! I know it's somewhat niche but given the 500 remakes im a little surprised i don't see the occasional Lunar cosplay attempt more often.
I thought I saw someone recording with a GB camera and thought I was hallucinating. That's amazing.
I usually have at least one insane #magfest moment, but I'm not sure if I do this clear. Closest I have is having an elevator to myself going back up to the room at 8PM, which the opposite generally happens, so as far as I'm concerned I beat magfest at that exact moment.
I talked (forced) my friends into coming to the panel and we all had a blast! I would've assumed the Mario one was an airbnb for people going to Universal but.... why minions?
This felt like the first year in a long time where i needed to find a way to split myself in half to fit everything in that I wanted to, def a good problem to have.
This was i think my 7th MAGFest, and I think this may have very well been the best one. Great panels, busy without being uncomfortable, consoles worked this year, what a weekend.
Plan for saturday streams in january: 1/3, 17, 24, and 31 are all a go, 1/10 def not cuz magfest. Gonna play through Twisted Metal and Tail concerto, if i get through both quickly enough I might throw in a short game before the big #150.
102 Dalmatians: Overall a really good Spyro clone. A bit on the easy side, but great voice acting especially for PS1 and great controls made it quite enjoyable. Only downside? The puns got so groanworthy I had to keep a laugh track on standby and I'm usually pro-pun.
I think I played more videogames in the past 4 days than in the previous 4 months. Little by little the universe is starting to slow back down.
No longer sick so maybe i can finally start streaming/retroachieving again. This time of year is so much fun lol.
Streams plans planning ahead:
Dec 13/20: 102 Dalmatians (PS1), complete, attempt to 100% on stream except for the minigames; retroachievements stream.
Dec 27/Jan 3: Finish the above if needed, then Twisted Metal (PS1). No cheevos on that one just a standard play.
Jan 10: No stream - at Magfest
