Completed edits on two chapters of the Crooked Path this weekend.
About a quarter of the way through Draft 3 now. It was at 98k words, but I’ve cut it to 96K currently.
Aiming to get it down to 90K if possible.

JD Buffington, author of horror and scifi, and I find myself writing inside of abodes quite often. Maybe because I’ve had so much personal horror at home, what should be the safest place someone feels is often the worst place to be—irl & fiction.
Then forests and mountains…
That made me wince! 😰😰
God, that just reminded me of the time I stumbled into a field of horses. They looked at me. I looked at them. They charged. I ran. Ended up losing a shoe in a bog and walking home covered in mud with one shoe on. Wife opened the door, took one look at me and said “I’m not even gonna ask!” 😂😂😂
