Just in case anyone wonders what a night๐ฆowl with added insomnia does at 3.30am, I've just made a huge pot of my Mum's recipe chicken soup, for tonight's tea/supper.
It's taking all my willpower not to have a good bowl of it now! ๐๐ฅฃ

Remembering George Kooymans, whose birthday it would have been today, and who died in 2025. Always loved, never forgotten George โค๏ธ ๐ณ๐ฑ
Spirit Of The 70s 2026 Schedule, coming live from the Ross Revenge over a long weekend on 20-22 March. I'm lucky to be going onboard with several of my besties, what a dream! โค๏ธ
There will be wars if they carry this out. I'll be up the front, if so!
Happy days! Listening to Focus on Radio Caroline, played by Foz Foster, and caught my huge mug of tea at just the right temperature to glug down in one! Love it when that happens! (Something I'd only do alone at home though!) ๐ โ๏ธ
Thank you!
Yes, it certainly is and it's a very tough decision between those two, and I love them equally. I think it's the echoey, trippy, hippyish sounds on Fresh Air that screams long ago pirate radio vibes to me xx
I found a page full of potential tracks for my Top 15 on Radio Caroline from a few years back. This was on it, would still be on it, will forever be on it. It's probably the song that most reminds me of the 1970s Mi Amigo days from the North Sea, that can never be forgotten, bettered or repeated. โค๏ธ
I saw this and like SO much twaddle on social media, I put it down to nonsense. But I've seen it again so looked it up, to find there is some truth in it - the BBC are in talks to get licence fees collected via council tax, whether you watch/own a tv or not.
As if I couldn't detest the BBC more ๐คฌ
Good to hear, long may it continue xx
In some places they're the ony shops! They have ruined Oxford Street. And the councils are probably in league with them! The current mayor of my own borough was found guilty of corrupt and illegal practices - they are all at it.
So a 'vape shop' started a fire that resulted in an historic building burning to the ground in Glasgow. I thought that everyone knew that most of these vape shops, Turkish barbers & American candy shops were all dodgy money laundering covers. Why are they still allowed to infest streets everywhere?
๐ As long as you enjoy it while you're here, it's all OK! When we moved, I had to be ruthless & only later was gutted at some things I gave away. So much so, that I spent a small fortune buying identical things back from ebay & etsy. Mum's much used pld mixing bowl is one I regret getting rid of. ๐
Thank you Nic x. I did that when my Mum died over 20 yrs ago & I came here (3 bed house, attic, spare room, 2 gardens etc to a 2 bed flat with balcony). I can't ever be a minimalist as I'm a collector, but it's good to get rid of excess clothes & junk!
Sorting out stuff in a room that I allowed to become a 'junk room'. I'm a sentimental old git & can get attached to a piece of paper because so-snd-so used it, etc, so it's tough work. But I decided to do 1 or 2 things at a time & it works! A few trips to the charity shop & it'll be so much better!
This is why I always keep long life milk cartons (I actually like it to drink, ice cold, too). And this powdered milk, which is great when made up for tea etc in an emergency.
On International Women's Day, here are some of my many heroines. (Mummy, Miss Josephine, Debs, Dame Margaret)
Played by Nick Carter from Radio Caroline North, live from the Ross Revenge. Could easily be my #1 of all time โค๏ธ
It's GN's birthday tomorrow.
๐ Only just seen this! (Like I said, I don't get notifications on here).
This masterpiece just played by legend Johnny Lewis, live from Radio Caroline North on the Ross Revenge โค๏ธ
On this day of Radio Caroline's North broadcast, live from the Ross Revenge, wishing a very Happy Birthday to Ernie ๐ธ Isley with this Caroline Classic & remembering 'The Lady', MV Mi Amigo โค๏ธ
Arthur Lee when young

Happy Birthday today to Kiki Dee. Kiki was just 19 years old when she appeared in the 1966 film Dateline Diamonds, featuring the Radio London pirate ship, MV Galaxy.
Happy Birthday David Gilmour ๐ฉท
I STILL don't 'get' how it works here. The post at my top has been there for what seems like days and I have to go searching for people I follow. I'm sure this is not how it should be.
At one time it was a thing going around that Keith was blocking everyone, nobody knew why, but you were the odd one out if he hadn't blocked you! ML, I have no idea why.
It could only happen to me! ๐
