The devil is in the details, i.e. adoption/implementation. For starters, I suspect very few of the routine lab tests for new diagnosis of HTN are being ordered.

Now we just need a current and common sense set of hypertension guidelines in the US. ACC/AHA guidelines came out 8 years ago and I still see patients prescribed clonidine and hydralazine (and nitrates!) for BP control 🤦🏻♂️
