Yes it’s a good essay. But i also find it frustrating that pieces like this often seem to exist mostly to reinforce the beliefs of an audience who already basically knows or assumes they know this stuff, rather than engage an audience that doesn’t (how the latter happens in 2026 ofc I wish I knew).

Who’s going to win? You could say Pog’s form is unknowable while we know Seixas is hott. That UAE look flakier without Wellens and Narvaez. That the likes of Healy, Pidcock, Simmons and maybe Gregoire might keep taking wilder and wilder swings at him. But ultimately Pog’s going to win again, I guess
