Immigrant populations are a critical piece in the fabric of our statewide community. Thank you to the leaders who show up time and time again to speak out and protect our neighbors. ❤️
Representative Abdullahi also listed the worst anti-immigrant bills (like HB 42, which we testified against last year), encouraging folks to show up in opposition and keep an eye on Ohioans Against Extremism's legislation tracker.

We'd also like to congratulate Representative Latyna Humphrey on the passing of HB 29 (regarding inmates' access to feminine hygiene products and showers). The bill received unanimous votes in both the House and Senate and now heads to Governor Dewine's desk. 🎉
We are thankful to Representatives Rachel Baker & Desiree Tims for standing up and speaking out against HB 234, and thankful to Representatives Phillip Robinson and Beryl Brown-Piccolantonio for doing the same against HB 485.
Last night, both House Bill 324 (attack on mifepristone, SSRIs, and other medications) and House Bill 485 (sex ed censorship) passed the Ohio House. ⤵️

HB 485 is censorship disguised as education. Young people will always deserve unbiased, inclusive, and comprehensive sex education free from stigma and shame.

Kira, Storyteller: "In the bill, schools must include a 3 minute ultrasound video, but Meet Baby Olivia is not even an ultrasound — it’s AI.”
