Shout out to the 2018 version of me who kept slightly neurotic notes about which Bloomsbury group books I was pulling quotes from including page numbers and copyright expiry dates. Really coming in handy as I make a spreadsheet of text permissions.

Corey: Objectively itβs a bad movie, but in a fun way. 5/10
Megan: 9.8/10 only because Iβm saving a perfect score for The Mummy.
My desire to watch George of the Jungle (1997) was what started this whole idea.
An attempt was made to improve our day with Glory Daze (1995). Probably the worst movie of the project so far saved only by Brendan Fraserβs line, βYouβre lucky I donβt know karate!β We both agree on a 2/10 rating.
6.5/10 A rare fourth trimester romcom. Fraser does charming flirt very very well. Sad Corey missed this one since there were moments that made me audibly say, βOh!β Was it particularly good? No! Did I enjoy it? Yes.
A solo watch of Mrs Winterbourne (1996) while Corey goes to a choir performance and I stay at home to keep an eye on our vomiting dog. A fun filled evening for all.
Tonight we watched Now and Then (1995) and were delighted. Excellent dose of nostalgia for a Sunday night and a solid amount of screen time for Brendan Fraser despite his role being βuncredited Vietnam veteran.β 7/10
Final review
Megan: 4/10 this wasnβt 100% for me (Iβm not usually a fever dream girly) but I came around in the last few minutes.
Corey: 2/10 Worst one yet. Didnβt know what it wanted to be. The Frase was alright though.
Next up weβve got The Passion of Darkly Noon (1995). A former cultist takes refuge at the home of a woman whose husband is away. π

Corey: How do you describe one of those movies you vaguely remember from your childhood but donβt remember until all of a sudden itβs there? 5/10
Megan: Potential to be great but issues had with pacing and important character growth happening off screen. Gotta love a baseball movie though. 5/10
Brendan Fraserβs 13th movie was The Scout which, Iβm reliably told, is the best comedy-fantasy about baseball ever made.

Review 2/10
If weβre looking for movies to purge from the archives, you can have this one.
Corey says, βAre you kidding? There are way worse ones than this one. This was at least entertaining. Stop quoting me.β
Had to wait 37 minutes for Brendan. We both had forgotten why we were watching this movie and both gasped.
Back to the Pauly Shore universe with In the Army (1994). When I told Corey it had a 12% on Rotten Tomatoes he said he didnβt remember it being *that* bad. I suspect he wasnβt the most astute film critic as a child.
How dare you suggest that I forgot about my Brendan Fraser journey. Tonight weβre watching With Honors (1994).
I might not be at AWP this year but I DID finish a first draft of a full-length play today ππ»ππ» Next task: more activities that donβt count towards tenure.
Final review
Megan: 7/10 Ben Affleck giving nepo-friend. If youβve ever wanted to see Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon wrestle nude, this is the movie for you. What B-roll footage of this scene exists, we wonder.
Corey: Best showing so far. A lot of prejudices.
School Ties (1992). A star quarterback receives a scholarship to a prestigious prep school and feels pressured to hide the fact that he is Jewish.
I love a Ben Affleck meme template so we will see if I get any out of this watch.
YES! I donβt care about discrete. It makes my life easier when people are aware I have them.
Final review
Megan: I am not smarter for having watched this. The last ten minutes bumped this up to a 7/10. Petition to bring back movies with dance sequences.
Corey: It was a stupid movie but it was a fun stupid movie.
Poster for Encino Man (1992) with the tagline βA chillinβ new comedy in full neandervision.β
Getting ahead on week 3 by watching Encino Man (1992) tonight.
Final review
Corey: This one wasnβt bad. It wasnβt great but it wasnβt bad.
Megan: Heavy on the 80s guitar riffs. Overall could have been worse. When I cringed it wasnβt Fraserβs fault.
Martin Sheen is running through his lines at 1.25x speed.
Only had to wait four minutes for our first Fraser appearance so things are already going well.
Movie poster for Guilty Until Proven Innocent (1991). Brendan Fraser and Martin Sheen look serious.
Tonightβs Fraser movie is Guilty Until Proven Innocent (1991), based on a true story of a wrongful conviction. Moving on up with a 58% on Rotten Tomatoes and more than one line for Brendan Fraser.

Chronological order by year except for some TV series that Iβm having to start earlier in the timeline so I can fit everything in before the end of the year.
Fraser got a solid two seconds of screen time in this last movie.
