It's about time I made one of these castellans since it's straight from the classic black templar Blanche piece that I'm always looking to. I don't wanna change a lot, just swapping out the relatively normal axe for a flamer chainsword, plus some additional details I like

saw a cool design that I thought would make a neat serberys conversion and I recently got some bike parts for cheap, so I'm trying this dino-bike build
been painting this one, my usual admech scheme, but it was already feeling kinda "industrial" so I leant into it more with the hazard stripe chainswords and going heavy on the wash as oil stains, I'm also gonna try the same chipping look I did on my skatros mount kastelan
adding some arm details/armour (or at least as much as I could before I sliced my thumb)

I could add more details, but I don't wanna spend too much time on it, so just I gave it my usual admech base of textured plasticard, wires, and random bits/off-cuts taken from the always expanding pile of them on my desk, so I can get onto painting it soon
Thanks, it's mostly my usual admech paint scheme, so my videos mention it in full, but briefly, it's mechanicus standard grey(usually drybrushed over black), shaded with a black wash, highlighted with dawnstone and administratum grey

Building incomplete kits is a fun challenge, and helps develop it into a unique mini as it makes you come up with new solutions, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention

The kastelan was missing bits because there were a few parts of it I used in previous builds, like the front shin armour became bicep armour for my dorn tankhead, the knee pads became elbow pads for my northstar armiger, and quite a few kastelan pieces went into my akira bike
Thanks, the grim parts of admech are important, they have some great non-gory or bloody body horror. Incomplete bodies and mechanical limb replacements that show a very twisted human form, the un-dead thralls and servo skulls, and wires like spilled guts

I've only made one dedicated kastelan robot before (not including the one that's part of my skatros trio), so I needed another for a proper unit of two. I threw some spare bits together, and made this more kataphron-like one, being servitor controlled

Are those some plastic tipped reverse tweezers? Seems like a very handy tool, where did you get them?
I'm not super familiar with them but I figures there's probably enough wing HGs to kitbash one if you're that desperate. But there are a bunch of build fighters MS and variants that could do with kits, I still wish they made an amazing zaku MG, using the Zaku II MG 2.0 as a base kit

did the scripture with my usual fine pen, I specifically tried to replicate the type of scripture from the game's Videx, which has borders with shorter, centre aligned paragraphs, broken up with symbols
and he's also looking a lot better with the sub assemblies all together now
