Fascinating and diverse programme of talks at the joint Autophagy UK and @ukproteostasis.bsky.social meeting in Dundee this week! & super happy to have the chance share our #pseudoligase work 📣
If you're in #immunity #cancer #neurodegeneration or #TPD fields, this might just tickle your fancy:
❓What are the biochemical functions TRIM proteins that have been implicated in these diseases?
❓What are the key catalytic features of RING domains?
❓Which TRIMs could work as #PROTAC components?
After a great review process with @naturecomms.bsky.social, I'm so happy to share our work identifying inactive RING E3 #ubiquitin #pseudoligases in the TRIM protein family!! rdcu.be/ehlGW

Excited to report our latest research on new “molecular glues” that specifically lock the BRCC36 isopeptidase complex (BRISC) in an autoinhibited state and reduce interferon signalling. This first-of-its-kind approach could reshape how we target large deubiquitylase (DUB) complexes.

Really enjoying kicking off the week with this new, excellently-written review on #ubiquitin from a structural perspective - so useful to step back every now and again and get an eagle's eye view on the field! www.cell.com/molecular-ce...
Mixing a leaving party with our Christmas party; house music with high res imaging… #Crickmas @crick.ac.uk
Thanks so much! Such a lovely idea ☺️ can’t wait to tuck into these over the holiday…
Christmas is looking very jolly here at the Crick! @thecrick.bsky.social 🎄✨ takes the edge off early starts with such short daylight hours…
