I would like to thank my co-authors and the reviewers for helping us improved the article.

I have just read Prof E. Peter Greenberg latest editorial paper, explaining why he has been working on P. aeruginosa.
That is very refreshing to hear how research is also impacted by interpersonal relationships and personal events.
We should hear more about it.

π¨ New preprint out!
Proud to share the first reported clinical case of polyclonal #melioidosis infection in QLDβalso the first study applying integrative multi-omics at the bacterial level.
𧬠Time to advance diagnosis & build a multi-omics database!
Does your lab perform killing assays?
TL;DR: weβve identified a problem that can bias the outcome of killing assays, making antagonism look stronger than it really is.
Adding a simple extra step can mitigate this bias!

Modifying gene expression through passive forces π§¬π§ͺ
Passive forces, like where and when mRNA degrades, play a key role in m6A dynamics, without always needing active editing.
This meeting will be great!

Hi everyone, just a quick reminder about @aimi-uts.bsky.social hosting Prof Leo Eberl next week for an @asm-nswact.bsky.social event!
Thanks to @garry-myers.bsky.social @aimi-uts.bsky.social for supporting this work!
Thanks @evolvedbiofilm.bsky.social for posting our review!
We wanted to raise awareness that CMV are common in #Burkholderia βyet still understudied. Not accounting for this diversity can impact the long-term effectiveness of new therapeutics.
Please enjoy and celebrate the amazing work done so far by #Burkholderia researchers exploring colony morphology!
So grateful to have worked with Dr Kirsty Agnoli on this review on colony morphotype variation in #Burkholderia!
I've made my submission to the review of the ARC grant system. Have you?
5 more days, people.
Dear colleagues and friends, as the situation continues to deteriorate, we rise to defend academic freedom and stand unwaveringly for science.

What a great idea! This scheme is already competitive, asking ECRs to have senior researchersβ track records and they want us to secure employment before accessing the scheme while only 2 years postdoc are available if availableβ¦ What about ECRs going overseas?
