Some days, I don't think anyone actually knows what performative means.

My main WIP centers on a 13-year-old who was being forced into a marriage because in her culture it's a norm.

I had people swearing that it isn’t a thing, and I gave resources.

I originally came up with the idea of the character when I was 13-years-old and child marriage is still a global issue.

There is nothing about this admin that makes sense. When they plan its just about smoke screens, not political strategy that helps the people.

This nation was founded on harm and dehumanization, and people are really starting to understand that the US has been broken since it started. We are honestly at a point where we need to start over.

it feels like a small thing in context of all of the other things but it is a piece of the larger authoritarian project that there are fewer places to publish essays now and the carefully edited essay as a public form for thinking and responding and criticizing and analyzing is in trouble, i think

Accountability is not the call-out or call-in. Accountability involves the problem being solved. It involves taking responsibility and using the support offered.

So maybe we can all do a little better especially around the honesty of needing help when we have fucked up, even if we didn't mean to.

When harm occurs, we also have to understand the type of harm and the risks present for bringing external enforcement. Sometimes it's necessary to do so, especially when the community has no enforcementof its own.

If we are, in fact, the community we say we are, then many of our issues can be handled internally without police and government.
Note, to some, this means ignoring it, but community doesn’t ignore problems either. We bring issues to light to help solve them.

I have approximate 14 chapters left on the TGA rewrite before I do my next reading through to double-check naming conventions and pronouns, scrap the manuscript for the lore book, and make my final decisions on the ending.

Then I can send it to an editor.

It's smart as hell. Can't get robbed. Can't lose the cash. Can use it more easily in other places. A lot of people don't carry cash anymore.

I guess the assumption is that if they are homeless they can't have a phone. Many homeless people work consistently but can't afford housing.
