Timo Kielich once again putting in a solid ride.
Timo Kielich once again putting in a solid ride.
And if you think Campy couldn't possibly wear plastic bags over his shoes during the race, you just haven't been following Visma of late. 😂
"There is not a man more deserving of this victory. The injury Michael Valgren had a few years ago was career ending. Possibly life ending. This brave soul never gave up. Worked back from zero. Less than zero. Took years and a lot of tears. Could not be prouder. Congrats, Michael. Congrats.” - JV 💕
Nobody has ever had winter pants more than Jonas. Rides like a demon in them, too.
Meanwhile in France: Campy nuking the peloton, the break, the TV motos…and looking good with the nose tape, too. 😎
Textbook racing. Chapeau.
He played it perfectly, too. Was patient and got as much as he could out of Alaphilippe, then went at exactly the right moment.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the last two days of T-A even though my guys didn’t win. The scenery, the courses, and the racing have all been A+.
I was traveling for the first few stages, didn’t quite get what happened early. But right now he looks as good as I have seen him.
Another fantastic race in Italy. Too bad Matteo lost time in the early stages, because he is killing it now. IDT is tough to beat, but there was a chance…
UAE mobbing the front, Matteo sitting on - literally - like Sunday ride.
Born to ride for Visma.
Are you kidding? Worrying is a way of life for Wout fans. We look for rays of hope as they come.
Not sure even Ayuso could have matched this.
Jonas. Wow.
Jonas looking strong even without the hip waders.
The last 50km was fun - great scenery and roads, lots of good action.
No tears here. Wout was there with MVDP and some great climbers. Might have covered one or two gaps he didn’t need to, but solid form with the biggies coming up.
And Matteo was simply beastly. TVL wants to win these things, not just contest, but this was a good day nonetheless.
Matteo!
Big fan of Timo Kielich. Nice rider, strong and smart, knows how to do his job.

I’ll leave it to readers to click and read for themselves, but the first two paragraphs here are worth it by themselves. 😂
I hate the accidents, big and small. And I hate the determination of Eurosport or whoever does the production to show riders in pain over and over.
Happily, word is that Ayuso is not badly damaged and will be able to continue with his spring campaign.
Gotta say: Ayuso was looking super strong and completely at home in his role as top guy. Never been a big fan, and not just because UAE. Still has to show he can march the very best, but it looks to me like he is in the right situation to find out.
Great ride by Jonas’s pants. Maybe they can give his TT helmet some lessons.
Salvaging GCs is something of a specialty for Wout, as both Jonas and Primoz can attest. Got washed out and missed his own chance, but was clearly on good form.
10th for Wout on a climber’s course is solid, and he seems content with his result.
I’m so far beyond ridiculous that I may spill over and begin cheering. Feel free to taze me when I do.
Is this a trick question?
