Yes and have passed this valuable skill onto my offspring.
Cleopatra lived closer in time to 'yeet' being in the dictionary than to the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza.
Ha! "Toolbars"
I think today is.....Bursday?
You forgot about the 919 browser tabs they have open. π
A homemade miniature yule log made of a homemade candle, cinnamon stick, dried orange, star anise, and pine bows.
Yule log 2024. Happy solstice!
If there's one thing that makes me sad, it's indie writers, artists and musicians apologizing for promoting their own work
Please keep talking about your work forever, I love seeing it
I need more assistance chewing holes in the corners once the wrapping is done. Monty, do you charge by the hour or by the gift?
In the Clipboard settings for Windows 11, the suggested actions section is highlighted, showing that the toggle has been turned off for "Get suggestions for actions when copy a date, time, or phone number"
Another Windows customization I forgot I had configured - turning off those pesky little suggestions to create an event when you copy a date in Excel or other spots. In Settings, under System > Clipboard, there's a toggle for "Suggested actions."
Two text boxes (one with a dark grey background and white text, the other with a white background and black text) show the differences in Calibri, Aptos, and Segoe using the sentence, The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog, as an example
I appreciate the height of Aptos, but Calibri feels cleaner, more neutral. The "a" and "g" in particular with Aptos feel closed and hard to read, especially at smaller font sizes. Honestly, I prefer Segoe because it utilizes an open-tail lowercase "g," but it's not a pre-installed font. π
The Signatures and Stationery options in Outlook let you select a theme if desired and choose your default font for new mail messages and replies or forwards.
Outlook is a little trickier.
1 - Go to File > Options.
2 - On the Mail tab, select "Stationery and Fonts."
3 - Choose your fonts for new mail messages and replies/forwards.
4 - Click OK until you return to Outlook.
Had to redo the image and lost the alt text (sorry!). The image shows the steps I outlined above with green highlights over the arrow (because it's tiny), the font selections, and the "Set as Default" pop-up asking if you want to set it for just this document or all documents.
Defaults fonts are machine-specific so you'll have to set this on each device. If you're an IT admin, you can set default fonts at the org level: learn.microsoft.com/office/troub...
Ugh, Aptos. If you don't like it either, here's how to change your default in Word:
1 - From Home, click the arrow in the bottom right corner of the Font section of the toolbar.
2 - Choose your font, style, and size.
3 - Click "Set as Default" then "All documents based on..."
First up: disabling pop-up "tips" for Office (M365) apps:
1 - Open any Office app.
2 - Click on the File tab.
3 - Select Options.
4 - Under General, look under "User Interface options" for a drop-down menu called "ScreenTip style."
5 - Select "Don't show ScreenTips."
Reimaged my PC last weekend. Forgot how many little tweaks I make to default app options and settings. Sharing some of my favorites in case it helps someone. #SharingIsCaring

It's been awhile since I last reminded you that I love you.
I love you.
Thanks for being here. I know it's not always easy. I appreciate the effort.

A section of the Hues and Cues game board with the deck and a sample card showing 4 colors and their locations on the game board. Player pieces are shown placed on the board as guesses of the color selected by the card holder.
Played Hues and Cues last night. A fun look into how people see, interpret, associate, and remember color. Up to 8 players, all ages. (Be prepared, playing with 4 under 9 last night provided the honor of clues like "snot" and "diarrhea".)

I did enjoy that, thanks.
(P.S. Hello old friend. Nice to see you here.)
It's Friday evening. It's dark. It's cold. It's raining. A lot. Instacart just delivered sake and a baguette. Adulting is done for the week.
"Feels like the first time .." It's not. This is my 4th time washing this load. May it finally make its way to the dryer today.
