This is not true. The vast majority of the Democratic Party is pushing for ideas to make society better. But there has always been a percentage of it that is not as liberal, progressive, left or whatever term you want to apply as you wish it. And like it or not, your ideas, or mine, are not

Simple reason, Democratic candidates don’t believe people protesting are committing a crime, so no offer of a pardon is needed. Trump was admitting he wanted people to commit crimes in his name and would provide cover. Thats corruption; Democrats should not be encouraging corruption.

Vote in the primaries for best candidate. Work within the party to push more of the best candidates. What you can’t do is walk away and let the worst candidate win,
Yes, and those suppression vibes are predominantly coming from one party. So why wouldn’t you vote for the party that is less suppressive? If you want to change the system, you either need to have people in power that want to change it.
Until that system is changed, we are kind of stuck with it, so it makes sense to vote for the people who say they want to change in ways you view as positive.
