The forecast for this evening is too character building for me (wind & rain), so I went and did a 34 min base run round the park first thing. No rain, a stiff breeze. I think that's all the character building I need for one day.

Tonight I'm at the osteopath (Keith, very nice man) so I ran this morning after the briefest of dog walks. Lovely to be back in the park again and it's receiving some much needed and overdue tlc. 35 minute base run at 6:55/km.

Today's run was a lovely chatty jeff 60:30 with Emma from the gym. We left the other runners behind and ploughed our own furrow.
Tomorrow I'm going Granny's Bay Challenge, a six hour event. That's what the flat lay is for. I should have added headphones and Zombies, Run, as I'm doing it solo.

Definitely run more. Cook from scratch and stop eating UPFs. Play the piano and accordion again. Probably start sewing again. Do loads of fell walking with my husband. Play with the dog. Clean and redecorate the house. The list goes on.

Apparently it's almost impossible to cancel your membership of Reform UK, so I wonder how many of those 268k actually want to be members.

Tonight's Garmin offering. A forty minute base run accompanied by Zombies, Run! I recently updated my races on Garmin and marked Run The Raid in August as my primary race. Now my Garmin runs are longer. Great! That means more cake. 😋

I'm truly saddened to hear the news of Jeff Galloway's death. He made running accessible to so many people. He was by all accounts a lovely man and I really got a sense of that in his Garmin training videos. RIP Jeff, you'll be missed.

Another Tuesday, another hill session. Eleven last week, twelve this week. Not sure about next week, there's a nice hill sprint session on offer: 15 seconds going at top speed and 90 seconds recovery. Sounds like the sort of thing I'd really love. Watch this space. 😁

I went for run with the lovely ladies from Em's Fitness Hub first thing. It's dedicated to the wonderful Jeff Galloway who's currently in ICU. Get better soon, Jeff, we're all rooting for you. ❤️

Garmin stats page for a strength workout showing which muscles have been exercised. Pretty much every muscle is highlighted, most in red (primary) and some in yellow (secondary). The workout lasted 1 hour and 25 seconds, I burned 262 calories and lifted a total of 2,535 kg - just not all at once. 😁

Gym this morning and I got a deadlift pb. 30kg. It doesn't sound much but I'm new to weights and even newer to deadlifts. I also worry about my back so I won't be overdoing it. Still, seeing that little 🏆 symbol on Garmin is very gratifying.

I'm not a historian. But I can think of no precedent in modern Britain for what is being done to trans people. The media, public institutions, Government and (too often) the judiciary are combining to attack or exclude a marginalized group and its allies - with really no significant demurral.
