Cinema to see Macbeth with David T and Cush J....Son's final GCSE text to see..
And we were told we were all up for redundancy mid day three of four ... So kind..
Had ITE one and then a school one at place where I'm VC .. I did the governor dive for that ..
More so. More deep dives and go into school and interview trainees, watch us teach, talk to heads and mentors and employers. How do you know what you've taught them in saying DT has had an impact on their teaching practice.. All about impact .. notoriously hard to measure that one meaningfully.
ITE ones are 4 days ...!
This is normal. In ITE inspections you sit in on the deliberation... Awkward to hear them debate why you aren't outstanding and not be able to interject..l
Never known anyone organisation so cloth eared and determined that they are the only true way.
Standard practice in faith schools. Sons Catholic school does it..
If the diet doesn't work at some point you need a different diet.
A child like that will have had intervention upon intervention since day dot. Maybe they need a bit more castle, a bit more outside, a bit more being read, PE, DT as well rather than yet more phonics.
Excellent I will share with my fellow GB thanks
But the rest of have to make that work. Regardless of budget.
When is the curriculum review published?
They've taken out a subscription to a large language model AI and need to use it.
I'm a huge fan but writing it is really difficult to do well...
Enjoy it, immersed in it, memorise it even... Collectively write but please I beg you all no return to the Haiku etc of old .
Nope I was roughly aware but watched the first two fine ...
And personally I'd take what they offer far more seriously if they had to do what everyone else has to and achieved.
No other state school would be allowed. Primary schools with three staff still have to provide full coverage and, until recently, deep dives. Level should mean just that. I don't see why they don't. If they are that good, it would not be hard, would it?
Do the children have access to the full National Curriculum? No they do not. Therefore comparison is null.
Agreed very much.. and I live in hope that we can spiral and drill down more rather than gallop through to get coverage..but the field and expectations should be the same for all..
Surely she should welcome the challenge? Unless...
It's totally unacceptable that her school is praised for having a narrow curriculum that would get you failed in a different type of school. If the model is good enough why is she so scared of having to teach a full and broad curriculum?
There is so much world wide evidence to consider, opportunities to change, challenge and encourage instead it's back to big sticks and soundbites. D is for disappointing..
Seriously disappointed by the whole Ofsted debacle. Tin eared, as stuck as the schools they are supposed to move on.. Like schools when levels went they seem unable to detach from the archaic grading + accuse all critics of low standards When it's them who are stuck and seems incapable of moving on.
Schools struggled to move away from the language of levels ..but we did it ..Ofsted cannot let go of this leveling language... obsessed..nothing will change until they do.
Excellent article. It's hard to believe such a tin eared approach.... A small school is going to be so stressed with this new approach...even worse than before!
Yup speaking as one of the 10k ... It's a mess..
Weird question... anyone out in the blue sky have a trail cam for their garden? I've got one for Christmas but have no clue where to put it for best potential...any advice or tips welcome...thank you
