A quote from CCPS CEO Rachel Cackett reads: "There remains absolutely no acknowledgement of the soaring on-costs faced by not-for-profit social care employers, including from eNICs changes… We continue to see no relief offered in this budget. This will further destabilise a sector which this government knows is incredibly fragile."

"There is nothing in the budget or spending review today that seems to fully acknowledge the scale of jeopardy Scotland’s social care system currently faces."

We remain deeply concerned about plans set out in the Scottish Budget to change the funding of social care pay 👇

We’re grateful to MSPs for raising this issue in parliament today and urge the gov to reverse this decision and prioritise long-term, sustainable investment in the sector.

‼️ Today MPs will vote on amendments made to the NI Bill by @houseoflords.parliament.uk which would exempt most social care orgs from devastating increases.

We urge MPs to share the evidence we & our members have provided & stand up for our sector.

NfP social care providers in Scotland face an extra bill of around £30 million to cover the NI rate rise & the threshold reduction. Money they do not have, and have no means to raise.

They were keen to show their support for our colleagues who are working in direct support roles, and were 100% behind the campaign messaging. They hope that the mugs give our MSPs some food, or tea, for thought.
