I'm working with Governor Gretchen Whitmer on trying to save The Great Lakes from the rather violent and destructive Asian Carp, which is rapidly taking over Lake Michigan, and all of the beautiful surrounds. I'll be asking other Governors to join into this fight, including those of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, New York and, of course, the future Governor of Canada, Mark Carney, who I know will be happy to contribute to this worthy cause. Separately, I am also working to save The Great Salt Lake, in Utah, which, in a short period of time, if nothing is done, will have no water. This is on top of everything else l am doing. Only "TRUMP" CAN DO IT! President DONALD J. TRUMP
This is big news if Asian carp have been identified in Lake Michigan not just south of Chicago
I like to think our car is our second ebike!
There are tracks currently there that could support this upzone if they extend streetcar like planned!
Gas station sign in front of row houses in Capitol Hill. Price per gallon range from $5.39 to $5.99 per gallon. Usually high but one of the closest stations to Congress.
This station is always expensive but havenβt seen these gas prices in a long time! Seems like my ebike and metro is the way to go!
New H Street NE study underway with an open house today at Sherwood Rec Center from 1-3 publicinput.com/hstreetstudy
Rising gas prices? Iβm gonna keep on biking in the car-free club!
Happy this isnβt the case!
Will be interesting to watch which organizations can pull this off.

My grandpa was too young for WWI but lied about his age joining Merchant Marines. Then returned trying to go to college but run out of town by Klan. He became prosecutor. My other grandad, joined IUβs ROTC to skip some of WWII but shipped to Europe luckily staying in Scotland. Later became a judge.
A minor league hockey team had a wiener dog race. Zero thoughts, just vibes and absolute chaos. A thing of beauty
Personal news update: I'm delighted to announce that as of today, I am an actual Bluesky employee! I'll be working to welcome indie media and local govt to Bskyβand supporting those already here.
I'll always want to hear your thoughts on how we can make Bsky the sort of social media we all want!

Way snowier bike ride than I expected this evening!

I wrote a small introduction to the SBAβs disaster loan programs, one of the largest sources of federal recovery funds but also less visible to researchers. It includes some new interactive data assets to explore SBA data (such as it is): open.substack.com/pub/andrewru...

Electric bills keep rising β and solar can help lower costs. But connecting panels in DC can take 2+ months and sometimes comes with surprise charges of $20K or more.
The GRID Act from CM Charles Allen aims to fix the process. β¬οΈ
