This letter appeared in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner on 19 July 2025. The writer believes objections to the UK rejoining the European Union can easily be countered. Although Brexit advocates claim Britain will not be welcome back in the EU, the evidence is that both EU officials, European politicians and ordinary members of the public in many member countries would be keen to see Britain rejoin.
