I hate when I hit "shut down" and my computer thinks that means "go to sleep instead" and I come back to my pc being on because a cat stepped on my keyboard and woke it up. The computer should obey me and not make its own decisions.

I've been wondering who Tobs was referring to when she said she was surprised that "some people are still being managed by that one person" on stream a while back.
"WebP compresses better, don't you want the internet to be fast!?" yeah i do maybe we could work on not embedding twenty megabytes of trackers and other bullshit JavaScript so your page runs without adblocking most of it first. no? then fuck webp. that's my opinion
I dug into that connection once and all I found was that he'd tried to pass his failed coffee company onto NH and that he allegedly might've been working at an NH warehouse after MSM collapsed.
Nope, the specific issues Geega saw that she aimed to fix with the platform is easy access to contact information and also helping to find the right kind of streamer for the right kind of sponsored content. It's explained more clearly here: youtu.be/HpPL5tiMAJ4
What Geega is working on isn't an agency, but simply a platform that makes it easier for sponsors to connect with streamers. I don't know how much personal info is involved with having a place on the platform though. Valid question though because I wouldn't want Seth near anything I'm working on.
The ending results screen from Metal Gear Solid 3 showing that I got a final rank of "Tsuchinoko" for finishing the game with the Tsuchinoko in my inventory. I also completed the game with 0 human kills.
After 20 years I've finally beaten MGS3.
Tsuchinoko REAL!
So ARC Raiders is actual spyware: timothymeadows.com/arc-raiders-...
A screenshot of the steam achievement for beating The Pain in MGS3. The achievement is named "Pain Relief" and 47.5% of players have earned it.
After about 20 years, I've finally beaten The Pain. My original PS2 copy has some issue with it where it would either freeze during the fight or the ending cutscene would freeze on a black screen and I just never felt motivated to play MGS3 till now.
all its missing is the headache inducing flashing lights and constantly swaying cameras trying to induce seasickness.
"Unalive" "grape" "seggs" This has got to stop. Do people hear themselves? Its like talking to a particularly sensitive toddler. We can't remove serious words from our language just because we're afraid some fickle algorithm will show our posts to less people
You know what that means
The other day I was trying to find a source to watch KO Century Beast Warriors because I saw a commercial when I was a kid and never got to watch it. Broke my heart finding out it belonged to Rightstuf and got folded into CR. The seven seas it is for me.
AI is going to make it nearly impossible for anyone to afford a new PC, phone, or gaming console -- all in the name of a future that will never come to pass and a present that will just make a few dudes rich. This is unacceptable
I'd shit this more to Gen Alpha than Gen Z. At least from my experience, Gen Z (born 1995-2001) are a mix where some emulate just fine. Gen Alpha on the other hand grew up in an environment where tech companies realized they benefited greatly from users not being tech literate.
A combination of tech companies engineering things to keep people technologically illiterate and constant propaganda that emulation = piracy = literally billions lost for [favorite company] and people making [company] part of their personality so any slight against [company] is a personal attack.
A screenshot of several achievements I earned playing MGS1 with the global percentage of people who earned those achievements. The statistics show a massive drop in percentages with 91.5 percent of players starting a new game and then only 52.2 percent of players beating the first boss, Revolver Ocelot. The percentages drop off further with only 45.7 percent beating the tank, 42.3 percent beating the ninja, and 39.4 percent beating Psycho Mantis.
I'm not particularly good at Metal Gear games admittedly but I got the Master Collection for PC the other day to replay the games and seeing the achievement statistics makes me feel insane. Does MGS1 really filter people this much?
a picture of a Konami Python 2, which is composed of a literal, entire, retail PlayStation 2 console, case and all - exactly the same unit as you'd buy at a store. the PS2 is surrounded by some custom boards, and framed inside a metal box (meant to go inside an arcade cabinet). it looks ridiculously funny.
the Konami Python 2 will always be the peak of mid-2000s arcadejank to me
imagine being an arcade tech back then, and you finally receive the kit to upgrade your cab from DDR SuperNOVA to SuperNOVA 2, so you open the case to get at the disc drive, and you're met face-to-face with this:
Finished the OVAs for All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku and I've had this ending song from it popping back into my head randomly. Apparently its an overlooked song because it took me like half an hour to find in high quality.
Seeing the world outside Altimit in the series was usually restricted to Anime, OVAs, Novels, etc. because it gave the games this interesting sense of immersion that I definitely feel might be lost in the new game if it really is a thing they're adding.
I liked GU's designs (might be biased since Last Recode was my entry to .hack) and even there I feel like GU still had some unique sauce to it that this reboot feels like it's missing. My hope right now is that in some way we can still get remasters/remakes of the original 4 games.
Also I'll reserve complete judgement since it was just a pre-rendered teaser, but also the environments shown also feel like they're missing that same unique style from the original games that I really enjoyed. It feels more like a generic fantasy world than the very specific styles of the originals
I'm going to be painfully honest. Nothing I saw in that teaser Trailer for .hack//Z.E.R.O. (not to be confused with .hack//ZERO) brought me joy or excitement. I do not like the character redesigns or the implication that we'll be seeing outside The World/Altimit OS.
The fucked up thing is that there were signs ages ago. Several years ago I remember him having a paranoid meltdown thinking he was being gangstalked where he was setting up surveillance, putting more locks on the door, and even setting up illegal booby traps.
A screenshot of the crash logs for Hammer editor.
Finally had some time to work on upcoming stuff for Postal 3 Ultrapatch+Angel. Lots of map fixes in the works! Spent about 8 hours today working in Hammer with the occasional crash.
Found it steamcommunity.com/id/MTD_BK/re...
I still think about that one review for POSTed (the editor for Postal 2) on steam that says "This makes Hammer World Editor look like God's gift to man."

It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?
