Here's mine with his donut. Also, the plastic cone could be hard for her to move around with her litter box. Mine has high walls that I took down, though the plastic cone did still fling litter out of his box. My cat found it harder to eat wet food in the donut, so maybe see how she does

In regards to you being at work

When my cat was in a cone I had him in a dog kennel for the first three days, he was fighting the sedatives. Depending on her temperament she should be fine closed in the bathroom or if she's like mine her carrier so she doesn't hurt herself.

An overwhelmingly common reason people give for enjoying this type of work IS ITS SEPARATION FROM REALITY. People are ENJOYING A FANTASY, not planning their weekend. This deserves protection.
