Ditto ignoring staff that ask you to move out of the way, arriving late and disrupting the talk, and so on. Good grief, minimal courtesy, people.
If you go to a conference and have a conversation in a normal voice during the talk, you are the worst.
A courageous talk by an American presenter on the need for awareness for gender identity in bleeding disorders. #EAHAD2026 the hostile environments, recognition of bleeding disorders in trans people. He could face consequences back in the US, acknowledges his privilege in white and male.

Storytelling is powerful.
It’s our oldest form of communication. Arguably, there have been stories as long as there have been humans.
If you package your research comms as storytelling, you get a more engaged audience that wants to listen and will remember your key message.
