I'm so upset that DNA companies are forcing users to always have their phones right next to them to log in. I like to leave mine in the other room when I'm on the computer. #Genealogy #DNA

Tried these competing flavors over the weekend. I liked the Coke a little better. Tim thought they were both about the same.
A few years ago, Sinclair's national news division was on a "Sharia law is coming" kick, but I haven't seen anything lately.

Coke merchandise display built by my husband and now at Flip Flops on Palafox Vendor Mall in Pensacola, Florida.
This is what I do in my spare time now. I run two consignment booths selling the collections of three generations and my mom's craft supplies. It's difficult for her to eat it go, especially the stuff we throw away because it's broken or otherwise ruined.

I feel like I should be doing something constructive, but Pippin has his annual checkup at the vet at 1:30, so no time, really, to get involved in anything.
I'm very disappointed in the @nytimes.com. You do know "alright" is not a real word, right?
The following is REAL footage from Portland, 2025. Viewer discretion is advised.
In what universe is either of these offers 75% off?
Yep, all mine are the same way. Seems they don't want to embarrass our dead relatives.
Not trying to make a weight comment, just a why-do-I-have-to-get-up comment.
Admiral Ackbar, Yaddle, K-2SO, and Orson Krennic Doorables.
I never even heard of Star Wars Doorables and they're already on series 3. How do they relate to a door, though? #StarWars
If you have to go on a low iodine diet, I found this website very useful. Not sure about the UK resources, but it's worth a look. lidlifecommunity.org
A Batman Hoverfly (Myathropa florea). This is a harmless type of Fly rather than a stinging Wasp, but the black and yellow stripes on the tail or abdomen may trick potential predators into leaving well alone! The top of the thorax is whitish rather than yellow, but it also has black stripes or bands across its width - the last one of the three looks a little like the shape of a bat with outstretched wings, hence the common name for this species. In this pic, the Hoverfly is perched on flower-heads which each bear many small white flowers on thin, white stalks. Photographed 9 August 2025 at Brandon Marsh, Warwickshire, England.
One of the first creatures I photographed yesterday at Brandon Marsh was this brilliant Batman #Hoverfly. Not a crime-fighter but a pollinator, so still a superhero! Can you see how this species got its name? #SmallWonders #Nature #Wildlife #Insects #NaturePhotography #MacroPhotography #UKWildlife πΏ
Hamlet 2 is so brilliant.
Production design is brilliant.
Within minutes, I realized the product placement was part of the joke. Listening to the commentary later - they had to pay all those companies for licensing. The music is brilliant and is so reflective of the story, it could be considered a musical. So, so funny and such great satire.
"Josie and the Pussycats" was widely misunderstood. The first time I saw it was on cable, it had started a few minutes before I turned it on, and I didn't even intend to watch it. The product placement (Krispy Kreme in the kitchen) caught my eye and was so blatant, I couldn't turn away, BUT...
I miss fireflies.
The whole thing is a racket.
I forgot the alt text. The sign says "Two words" on the top line and "cheesesteak" on the bottom line
I don't think the sign maker understands.
I send emails like that sometimes to DNA matches who usually never respond or if they do reply, they'll give the name of one person, with no dates or other identifying details.
This always baffled me. I never knew how to correctly write a pre-1752 English date.
It led me to write this small blog about calendar confusion.

Following the Leaves: What I Learned from Unexpected AncestryΒ Hints
Have you ever noticed an Ancestry hint for someone who isn't actually mentioned in the record? While reviewing hints for my great-great-grandparents, I came across three Civil Warβrelated hints that puzzled me. These records wereβ¦
